Welcome! Making the decision to start your own home business is exciting giving you the vision of leaving your present career to start a new life. You know you are worth more than you are presently being paid and you want to fire your B-O-S-S which is double S-O-B spelled backwards.

My first suggestion....

Don't quit your present job until you have developed enough income from your new venture. If you have been laid-off, fired or your company just shut down and you got blind-sided; either way you will need to utilize many of the suggestions I am going to provide you.

There are many things that may interest you. You may have said... "I'd like to do that...." or "Hey, I'd like to try that...", "WOW! that really looks interesting...." Whatever is going to drive you to start your new career and help you build the future that you have always dreamed about, you are going to have to make some sacrifices....

YES! I did say you are going to need to make sacrifices. Don't get your feathers ruffled, if you stay focused and do what you need to do in your new career, you WILL have the life you have always known you deserved and you can have this through having your own home business.

You may say, HEY, what kind of sacrifices are you talking about??? The most obvious here would be your time, maybe some extra cash depending on the path you choose and if you have children or are married, you may see a little less of them for a while. Don't break the bank by draining your savings account, learn how to Build On A Budget.

1.  Find a career that gets you pumped up and your juices flowing.

2.  Understand that you will need to make sacrifices along the way.

Next... well what should I look for??  What is credible and worth my time??

First of all, there really is no opportunity that will make you rich quickly that is reputable and sustain the test of time!!  Sorry to have to say that although anything that is worth while and will be around for the long hall while providing for you and/or your family will take time and focus. 

Do your best to not let this discourage you, by taking the initiative to find something that will empower your life, taking the time and effort to research a home business BEFORE you jump in, already places you in the top 10% in the country.  You are showing desire, motivation and ethics through education instead of 'jumping in' with both feet blindly - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

states, before you become involved with ANY company, you need to evaluate 5 important areas:

    1.  The Company

    2.  The Product or Service

    3.  The Marketplace

    4.  The Compensation Plan

    5.  The Timing

You need to research the company and evaluate its strength before choosing it as a home business.  Uncle Bob around the corner may swear by a company, but does he really know their history, their direction or how they pay their employees, associates or contractors?? 

I know I said the cursed 'e' word (employees) and you're looking to start a home business, this is just an example of and depending on the reason or business you are looking into.  The same rules apply if you are looking at vendors, will they always have the products you need, will they always have the parts you need and not become obsolete? 

Are they going to be a here today - gone tomorrow business??
