Road Blocks
The sun's a 'risen, it's a new day with visions of nothing but clear blue skies. Drivin' down the road with the wind blowing through your hair in you new convertible. A metaphor for the feeling of starting your own home business.
You have found the company that you want to work with or you are going off on your own, either way, your dreams and goals are now within reach by being your own boss.
No one to look over your shoulder, no more time clocks to punch, no more having to answer to anyone else but yourself (and sometimes your spouse).
You're stepping outside your comfort zone, give yourself a HIGH-FIVE and yell WOO-HOO!!! because you're showing the courage that others will envy (and sometimes ridicule).
Being your own boss with your own home business can be both your savior or your nemesis. Nothing can stop your cruisin' down dream highway faster than a road block. Being ever vigilant of even the smallest of distractions can drive you right off the road and into the ditch. Let's look at a few: - Email - Talking with people - Spouses - Family - Hobbies - Cold Calling - Sports - Cars - Animals - Surfing the Internet - Housework - TV - Children - Lawn Care - Home Repair - Warm Calling - Using the phone - Computer Games - Did I mention Email?
Let's face it, anything that prevents you from staying focused or on-task in your new home business can be considered a road block. Allowing distractions to prevent you from building your business may cause you frustration and anger. Some will even say "This doesn't work" or "This is too hard" then quit and go back to their mundane, comfort zoned boxed life ending up living just like everybody else.
I DO NOT want to see this happen to YOU!!! Working at their J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) that keeps them hoping and living in the someday's. Trust me, that someday will never come if you continue to do the things that you are doing right now. Owning your won home business will help you explode out of that rut!!
"Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it." - Oprah Winfrey
You have to work at it!!! Change can be fun and empowering, take advantage of your ambition and motivation. Being successful at your home business will not happen overnight, although if you apply yourself, use your time wisely and stay accountable for your action as well as inaction, success is closer than you think.
"Excuses will make you broke." - Rob Vest No Excuses!!! Making excuses and placing blame dis-empowers you and will prevent you from being successful in your business.
You will be surprised when you actually look at the ACTUAL time spent in money making productivity. If you spend 6 hours for example in your home office, how much of that are you REALLY working? I would bet that it may actually 2 hours or less.
