I can remember back before I started on my journey of personal development how judgmental I was. I felt it was always somebody else's fault, I placed blame on others instead of taking responsibility for my own actions.

I was frustrated, angry and disappointed. I walked around kicking the dog (just kidding) in aggravation that my home business wasn't working out.

In retrospect, this may be one reason why some of my past 'ventures' did not work out.

I even questioned my motivation and also questioned if I was even deserving of being successful.

I wondered, what right do I have to be financially free and live a life of prosperity. Who am I to want a home in Hawaii, a huge home for my family which would enable us to entertain, the cars, vacations around the world, and on and on and on.

As much as I wanted to be successful, and have all these things, I was VERY good at placing my own Road Blocks and questioned my own determination. When things didn't work out the way I planned, when something didn't go my way, I blamed something or someone else for my lack of success.

For me, my journey with personal development has literally changed my life!! Personal development changed my outlook on life, realizing that I do deserve to be successful, I do have the ability to have all I want in my life. I do deserve a life prosperity!!

I will be giving you some information and a few of the techniques that I have used that have made an imprint on my life.

For many, starting a new home business may be intimidating and will be taking you out of your comfort zone. Working on yourself through personal development or personal growth will help you develop a better outlook on life and your business.

Unfortunately, some people have an attitude of "What you see is what you get" or "I don't need that". Let me tell you right now and speaking from experience, if you don't work on yourself first, you will handicap yourself AND your business.

While building a home business, you will be talking with many people of various backgrounds and belief systems. Many will not match your own beliefs and developing your acceptance for who they are and accept their beliefs as their beliefs may be challenging.

The bottom line here is to learn 'not to take things personally'. Personal Development will internalize a TRUE acceptance of others as a necessary component which will enable your ability to develop a flourishing home business.

Another important aspect is overcoming the programming instilled in each of us with regard to the meaning and effect money has on you. How many of you relate with these beliefs:

1. Money doesn't grow on trees

2. People that make money walk all over others

3. Only greedy people make a lot of money

4. Go To school and get a good job - that's how your become successful

- These are all lies that someone else has placed in our belief system.

I could go on and on how others have placed misguided beliefs in our lives. I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a powerful book "The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T Harv Eker. Mr. Eker also has a 3 day seminar, The Millionaire Mind Intensive (MMI) which incorporates processes that will remove those misguided beliefs right out of your subconscious.

Unfortunately, the book does not describe these processes because they have to be experienced. My intention is to share this information with you so you may start your personal development off like a rocket.

My wife and I have attended the MMI and found it to be Life-Changing. In addition, I have also volunteered at an MMI and I was able to see first hand the the transformation people attending this seminar went through. AWESOME, simply awesome!!

If you are serious about changing your life with starting a home business, start with changing yourself and the rules and beliefs others have instilled in you.

Another area for personal development you may want to consider is hiring a Life Coach or a Business Coach. Ironically, I have spoken to a number of people about using a coach and what they tell me continues to astonish me.

People find out what a coach does for individuals and they say "I know all that, I can do it on my own." The I ask them, "so, if you know what to do, why haven't you done it yet?"

A coach will hold you accountable for what you are committed to doing, they will provide you with ideas because that can see from the outside-in as 3rd person with an unbiased opinion. They will provide you with a view point that you may not see, your personal coach is your observer.

People who use a coach are frequently more successful than someone who doesn't because of the previous reasons. I am not suggesting that you run out and hire a coach right away, if you can fit it into your budget then I would ask that you consider it.

If your budget is tight, wait until you do have enough disposable income to take advantage of a life or business coach. It will not be a waste of time or money. Right about now you are probably asking 'How much does a coach cost?"

First understand that there is not a universal agreed criteria for a coach, licensing or certification required to be a coach.

There are, however, some very reputable classes and schools available to obtain a certification, so you may want to ask this up front. If nothing less than how long have they been a coach and ask for references.

Now for cost.... I have heard them charge as little as $50/hr. to as much as $5000/hr. The going rate is roughly $150 - $300/hr. for a reputable coach.

Don't be afraid to ask them the tough questions before you hire them, as always, do your due diligence before you jump on board.

Remember, many of the beliefs you have were given to you by someone else. Their beliefs were someone else's beliefs who were someone else's beliefs and so on.

Many of them DO NOT serve us, in all actuality, they cripple our chances of success because they want you to be just like them. Stay in your comfort zone because what right do you have to make a lot of money and be successful??

You have EVERY right to be successful and have all you ever dreamed of!!!
